At Patata School we’ll be using both Mac OS and Windows interchangeably. Luckily nowadays the interfaces look very similar and all programmes are cross-compatible.

We’ll be using the Adobe Creative Suite for almost all 2D tutorials, both for still images and animation. You can get a trial version of all the programmes or a monthly subscription for the whole Creative Cloud. We also have some specialised tutorials and brush sets for Procreate which is an iPad app (for which you’ll need an Apple iPad).

Not at all! Although Patata School’s tutorials are specialised and in-depth, there is always a version for beginners to make sure that you can learn everything even if you’ve never used one of these programmes.

Yes you can. All textures and materials can be used in both personal and commercial projects. Other elements like 3D modelled characters and objects are, unless specified, copyright of Cabeza Patata. That means that you can use them for learning but you’ll have to create your own version for commercial projects. But don’t worry, we’ll help you with that part and you’ll feel pride in having created your own personal 3D models.
