We’d like to see some kind of secondary action eg bouncing a ball, waving, sipping a drink. Whatever you can imagine and whatever you think fits your character’s personality.
The project must be made in Blender. Patata School has plenty of courses in this amazing, free 3D programme that we encourage you to check out!

Evaluation criteria:
Creativity - how original and imaginative the piece is.
Aesthetic value - how well balanced and pleasing the piece is, consistency in modelling, colours and use of texture and lighting. All this is covered in our blender courses

Congratulations to Elizabeth for her beautiful fishing cat. She wins a Huion Kamvas Pro 16!
Carefully rendered with a clay-like texture and reminiscent of a children’s book illustration, we love the look of the whole piece and the fact that it’s based on Elizabeth’s pet cat, Momo. She even recorded Momo’s meow for the final animation.
The personal touches and attention to detail are what made this stand out as the winner, with a great mastery of Blender and taste in mixing 2D and 3D elements.
In second place we have Nico Kast with his Tiger Spirit Gardener. Dedicated to his new son, Yunan, Nico’s beautiful 3D tiger sits in a 2D garden watering a cheerfully dancing flower. The subtle mixture of styles works beautifully here and makes for a rich and interesting image.
Nico wins a Huion Kamvas Pro 13!
Finally, our third place goes to Darwin Pacheco with this spy dog. The composition is fantastic and it’s a great translation from a 2D image, keeping the graphicality while bringing in 3D-specific elements like the wavy jacket. The lines representing the smoke is such a clever use of grease pencil and the whole piece works beautifully.
Darwin wins a Huion Inspiroy Dial 2!
